Former Employee - Sales in Dallas, TX (US)

I worked at Salesforce.com full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    -Good technology
    -Good products
-Great marketing and recognition in the market
    -CEO has a good vision

    Cons

    -Very high turnover.
-Little to no support from management
    -No internal mentoring or coaching.
-Sales team operates very tactically by having Monthly sales targets. This creates some very bad behaviors and makes it nearly impossible to chase larger, strategic deals
-Very busy and zero work/life balance

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a close look at the managers you have promoted. There is some serious deadwood that offers zero value to employees/opportunities and is completely uninvolved in territories and deals. In a word, they manage up.
