I worked at Six Flags part-time for less than a year

Pros

Experienced senior staff, seasonal growth opportunities, great enviroment, fun perks, team member only parties, opportunities to network, fair scheduling

Cons

Seasonal employment for the most part, difficult to break into full time because of small head count and low turnover.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep striving to build and retain dependable teams. Be a world class leader, not a manager, and it will reflect in your team.

I worked at Six Flags full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Fun, unique opportunity to work and meet people. You get to interact with guests who most of the time are courteous and polite. You get to go into the park for free on most days and other times on employee party nights.

    Cons

Getting a hold of a supervisor outside of work is impossible. Their rule system has no wiggle room and gets most people fired very quickly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Getting mesages to supervisors are very important and needs to happen efficiently.

I worked at Six Flags as a contractor for more than 5 years

    Pros

It used to be a fun place to work that you could be proud to put on a resume.

    Cons

They treat employees like children. They don't value long time employees. They don't take care of existing facilities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you treat employees like children, they will act like children. It's a shame to see a company with such a rich history as a "theme" park reduced to a cheap amusement park/roadside attraction.
