    Pros

Hands down best insurance company to work for. State Farm agents make great money, work flexible hours, and are a valuable part of the community.

    Cons

The path to becoming an Agent is very long and competitive, with no guarantee of ever reaching your goals. Cold calls are your best friend.

I worked at State Farm full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The benefits are costly, but good. The pay is horrible.

    Cons

State Farm is opening up new "HUBS" too quickly and has no live training system in place. The training is disorganized and made up of Powerpoint presentations. Very little time is spent on the floor learning before you are actually expected to take live calls and state specific training was rushed and disorganize.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend money on the training program if you want attract and keep good people. People learn best by doing, not memorizing.
