Great company, great culture- needs to pay more, better benefits, and vacation.

I worked at Target full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

At the ETL level and above, Target is excellent at development, creating a "team work" environment, and being a fun place to work.

Cons

Hours and lifestyle, very poor vacation policy, inflexibility to transfer regions or cross-pyramid. Whereas I would note their pay is very competitive in comparison to other retailers, they should pay more. They demand higher standards than Walmart, they should pay a lot more for their talent.

I have been working at Target full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Pay is competitive, tuition reimbursement for Team Leaders, 40 hour work week, opportunities for advancement within company,

    Cons

Working weekends, but that is retail. It is required for Team Leaders to work two weekends a month. One opening and one closing. You get two weekends off a month. Required to work one closing night each week. A huge lack hours for the team members puts stress on everyone. Executives need to be a part of the "team" and get their hands dirty!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

People have lives outside of Target. Promote current Team Leaders with the experience and education that is needed to run the business to Executives.
