Advice to ManagementAdvice

It is fine but not as good as private universities. Good and detailed management is lacking.

I have been working at University of California Berkeley

    Pros

Berkeley is the best place to be a researcher. The caliber of every department on campus really makes you feel like you can achieve anything.

    Cons

Unfortunately, because U.C. Berkeley is a public school, its funding situation is not very good right now. This mainly affects the undergraduate program, however. Berkeley still has a powerful presence in research in all areas.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't rely on the state for funding. I think a public/private hybrid model would work well. Berkeley has always been a competitive place to do research. Don't lost that edge.
