I have been working at University of California Berkeley

Pros

Best weather and living environment; Campus Environment.

Cons

Low salaries as for its state university fact.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

It is fine but not as good as private universities. Good and detailed management is lacking.

I have been working at University of California Berkeley

    Pros

Once getting at Berkeley you have basically 100% job security. Most people are nice, if not necessarily the smartest people in the world.

    Cons

Too much bureaucratic nonsense. Literally not possible to get a promotion, you have to reapply for the new job. Takes forever to get things done.

I worked at University of California Berkeley

    Pros

The library is run by experienced, intelligent librarians. An excellent place for an internship as there are many projects available. The staff is tremendously supportive and warm.

    Cons

Like most libraries, a perpetual backlog exists due to lack of staff. Budget cuts appear to be a hindrance.
