I worked at Walmart full-time (more than an year)

Pros

They provide income when other options aren't available. The other associates are generally nice people.

Cons

Lots of moving stuff around without forward motion. This lack of productivity holds done wages. The training is a joke.

I worked at Walmart full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Salary and benefits package. Opportunities for advancement.

    Cons

Impersonal "big box" company. It's really gone downhill in the last 7-10 years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Go back to the companies roots and CARE about your employees (they aren't really associates anymore even though you still call them that) Part - time is not what most people are looking for, they want/need full time in order to support their families. Pay more to the hourly employees and you might get more of that "engagement" you're looking for.
