Pros

Fun chill culture, great products, huge audience and great technology.
Lots of opportunities to interact with users and industry peers.
Clear career development paths.
Good benefit.

Cons

Yahoo! started as a technology company and created a lot of great technologies that are the bests in the industry and got adopted by many other peers, however, leadership team does not know how to leverage these great technologies and pursuit media path ...

Advice to Management

Go back to technology route and keep innovating.

    Pros

Employee have a lot of free hand and good for them in terms of technology and problem solving.

    Cons

They stick a lot with the legacy systems and then don't maintain and grow with the existing technology and enhancements, So after sometime maintaining things becomes a primary work and people start loosing interest.

  2. Fantastic family of talented and nice people. I'll always have purple blood flooding in my body and soul!

    Pros

It's the perfect place to get knowledge not only about Internet and the business, from content to advertising, from search engine to mail, but also about personnal contribution and organisation. Yahoo! has an exceptionnal continous training program to develop personnal and functionnal skills.

Furthermore, the company has always been built upon a flat structure where accountability and responsability are equaly distributed. So you always have a priviligeous space to practice your personnal skills, test and learn.

Finally, Y! is always looking for innovation, user experience and satisfaction. It clearly breathes 2.0 atmosphere.

    Cons

    Highly competitive market.
Difficult to maintain leadership over so many years.
Sometimes frustrating to struggle against Goliath.
