    Pros

Pay and benefits package - which admittedly, is good.
There is actually nothing else that makes this job bearable.

    Cons

The overwhelming sensation that you are just a small cog in a very large machine.
Failure to recognise employee intelligence and offer internal promotion based upon this.
    Diabolical training system.
    Repetitive and uninteresting jobs.
    Out-of-date technology - computers, etc.
Culture of bullying and harassment - this is promoted my the business management teams.
A "one size fits all" management style that does not recognise an individual's needs or goals.
    Unsympathetic corporate policies.
Anti trade union attitude from senior management.
Health & safety - merely a lip service within this organisation.

    Advice to Management

If ExxonMobil starts to treat its employees like they make a difference, perhaps they will.
Start to recognise that intelligent and motivated employees are being overlooked for promotion or being offered insulting job moves that they make feel cheap and superfluous to the organisation's requirements.

    - ranking system which determines everything: wage, job opportunities

    - colleagues are sometimes more competitors

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Good pay. If you perform extremely well can accelerate through management quickly.

    Cons

Poor work/life balance. BIt of a blame culture and top down management. Sometimes can get stuck in a position and find it hard to rise up the organisation. Some workers can be a bit unfriendly due to be overworked.

    Pros

Some great team members, subsidised restaurant and deli, an opportunity to work with a number of different departments and disciplines

    Cons

Most the current upper levels of management were promoted because of how long they have worked for the company rather than on merit and many are literally counting down the days to retirement. As a result there is no real room for innovation and interesting ideas to take root as the management just want to see out their remaining time with the company before retirement. Also as many were not promoted on merit they aren't always capable of doing the job and it is up to sub-ordinates to provide vision and guidance. There is an aversion to dealing with poor managers and they are left to spread their toxicity and there is an extremely high turnover in some departments one department went through 6 supervisors in 6 years due to the behaviour of the department head. There is a strong safety culture - don't come here if you aren't willing to investigate why a paper cut occurred and how you can prevent it from happening again - however there is mixed messages from upper management with some undermining the process by not reporting near losses and ignoring interventions

    Advice to Management

Promote on merit, deal with problems as they arise and don't let fester

Slow paced as very low risk, lots of levels of approval (for good reason)

Holistic benefits: Health, pension, childd care etc and excessive training: technical and soft skills in some cases

    Cons

    Advice to Management
