Former Employee – worked at Genentech full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – The company has a great mission and there is a high focus on employee training and development. It is a great place to work. The salaries and bonuses are excellent.
Cons – After the Roche merger a lot of inefficiencies were introduced. The cultures did not mesh well and as a result the drive and passion of the old Genentech is diminished.
Advice to Senior Management – Listen more. You have good ideas that get lost as they trickle down the organization.
