I worked at Goodyear full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Wonderful Human Resources Available, good tech's

    Cons

Not all middle management had the skills to motivate properly,,,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management needs to check themselves, if a store is doing well with a certain of person, bring him in, discuss his method and have HIM train those who manage by intimidation. This unfortunately seems to be a path many firms are not following up on.
When your turnover in a certain area is high, generally there needs to be an investigation. Find the answers and increase your revenue.

    Pros

Goodyear offers good benefits , and the job stability aspect is a huge bonus. There are monetary bonuses to gain, but to attain them is very difficult.

    Cons

Expect to work very long hours, to try and get everything done. You are expected to do everything possible, to try and get all of the sales you can get, even though some of the products are back ordered.

I have been working at Goodyear

    Pros

The compensation is a as much as you will ever receive for a factory position. The benefits and insurance is ok.

    Cons

Pay scale makes you wait 3 years until you go to top rate. No raises at all for three years. Grandfathered employees make more than new hires will ever make for the same job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communication between are managers is lacking. Very cut throat environment.
