I have been working at Humana full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good hours, work at home advantage, excellent coworkers

    Cons

Cannot get promoted. Its a who you know basis of moving up the ladder, Education is not considered. If you are a great worker, count on staying in the same spot forever.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at who is doing the work, who is proving themselves, who speaks volumes for the company. Just cause Janey likes Tommy is not a good basis for moving someone up the ladder

I have been working at Humana full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The pay was very good, more than competitive and certainly beat Wellpoint. The people were great and they took the time to train people well. I also had a positive opinion of management.

    Cons

The user interface was tedious and made it difficult to multitask. I also found it rather difficult to get time off when I needed it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think Humana could work on improving upward mobility and they should definitely be make it easier to get time off.

I worked at Humana full-time (more than 3 years)

I loved the fact that corporate was willing to allow work from home after I described my personal preference to do so and how my productivity was increased as opposed to when I worked at the office.

    Cons

HR4U was great to help when needed questions asked but only during business hours. Benefits packages would be best described during orientation.

    Pros

Lots of opportunities to grow and move up within the company. The pay is great and depending on the position, the amount of overtime is endless.
