I worked at Ingersoll Rand as an intern (more than a year)

    Pros

Lots of functional business areas to learn and all the employees and coworkers were warm, welcoming, and willing to train and mentor a college student (I had a two year internship during my two final years of undergrad)

    Cons

I wasn't offered a position after I finished my internship, and frankly none of the interns in my department were offered positions either. At that time, I believe there were budget constraints that wouldn't allow those positions to be filled by the interns. To this day, each team is one person short.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow for more opportunities to train and learn other business areas besides the department we were a part of. I would have liked to shadow accounting, engineering, service, and sales.
