Former Employee – worked at Insight full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – The team members are the best part of the company. The hours are not terrible and the facility is nice complete with a cafeteria.
Cons – Over the past 18 months the company has gone through a complete leadership change at the VP level. They are bringing in many executives who hit the ceiling with competitors such as CDW and putting them into leadership roles. Unfortunately this has added significant ego and ladder climbers to that level. I believe C level executives and board of directors are good but don't realize the determent the incoming executives are creating on the company. I voluntarily left at the point I realized I couldn't feel good about myself representing their brand. It used to be customers, company and employees were the top priorities. It now is VP's, Share holders, customers, company and then employees.
Advice to Senior Management – Check the egos and actual records of VP's coming into the company. You have not brought in talent you have brought in someone else's baggage.

Current Employee – been working at Insight full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – I was stationed at a client site in the Tampa FL area 5 days a week. My boss who was not a technical guy what so ever never came around
Cons – There was no room for advancement and everything that upper management ever promised me such as raises and paying for certifications never happened. My job as a systems engineer was sort of a dead end job.

Current Employee – been working at Insight full-time for less than a year
Pros – Insight is a Fortune 500 company with a great company culture. Employees hired on automatically accrue sick pay, floating holidays and 2 weeks vacation. Their benefits package is decent and their company culture empowers their employees to manage their own business.
Cons – Opportunity for advancement has been discussed with me and my teammates, but no clear path within the company has been demonstrated.
Advice to Senior Management – Set up training for employees that help them better understand the relationship Insight has with its customers and how to improve that relationship.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Insight full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Company can sustain revenue from inside sales.
Some individuals in leadership are concerned with personnel and revenue growth.
Cons – Current Senior Executive Leadership has not demonstrated the competencies required to lead an organization through revenue growth and the ability to compete and win customers.
Advice to Senior Management – The Services sector has to determine a direction and effectively develop growth strategies, measure against plan and revise plans to mitigate risks and achieve the corporate goal.

Current Employee – been working at Insight full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Many talented teammates to work with that have experience in many fields of technology and sales.
Cons – Internal promotion and salary guidance is prohibitive of a long term career within Insight.
Advice to Senior Management – I think it's important to evaluate the processes for employee development and internal career growth. We do a great job of bringing in external talent but sometimes the pay scales cause that talent to leave or internally grown talent to find opportunities elsewhere.

Former Employee – worked at Insight full-time for less than a year
Pros – Salary and that's it. There's nothing I can say about Insight that would be considered a "Pro" in any way shape or form.
Cons – Everything else.
From withholding work product from customers, to outright incompetence at almost every level (field engineer to management), project coordination and project management are the worst of any "professional" services organization I've ever seen.
Advice to Senior Management – None, I don't think anything will help Insight. At this point, they're the laughing stock of the professional services industry.

Current Employee – been working at Insight full-time for less than a year
Pros – Great team environment, everyone is trying to help you
800lb gorilla status with partners and clients
Lots of fun events and happy hours
Opportunities for learning and development everywhere
Very forgiving for slow starters
Cons – Lots of kool-aid, people outside of the attitudinal norm have been cut
Some unfair metrics
Lower compensation relative to industry - making the same deal working at a competitor will get you more money
Strong get stronger mentality (goes both ways)
Advice to Senior Management – Take care of your employees and they will take care of your shareholders. Cutting the bottom line with compensation has led to two bad quarters
