I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Tremendous opportunity to understand many facets of business operations as rotations and movement is encouraged and expected. Work-life balance is what you make it and most groups allow you to own your schedule and elected balance.

    Cons

While this is a super company, it is a large organization that can stumble with swift market moves. Compensation lagging what the market demands for the cost of living in this area.

Strategy for wireless not been successful so far. So it can lead to question the applicability of your work. But, I guess from an intern point of view it does not matter!

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time

    Pros

Very good work/life balance, smart co-workers, decent pay, decent benefits.

    Cons

Perks lag many peers, non-trivial bureaucracy, management openly aims to match the _average_ of peer company compensation packages.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You cannot retain the best talent by paying them average! Focus on growth and not on controlling spending, especially wrt. employee compensation and benefits.

I have been working at Intel Corporation as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

People are nice and have a good work-life balance. Some very senior and talented people working here.

    Cons

A big company that you only have the chance to do a narrow part. A lot of ethic works that are additional and may not be quite useful.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If give people more chance to comminicate with other department or companies, that would be nicer.

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Good vacation and sabbatical.
Once you move up grade 10 and above, good bonus etc. And you don't have to work hard to survive.

    Cons

Half dead old T-rex, who still lives in 80/90s dream.
Too much politics to survive/advance. Corrupted integrity. etc

I worked at Intel Corporation full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Category leader, global scale, market mover and influential. When the market is growing, opportunities abound and you can make your own career. When the market cycles down, cost-cutting becomes painful and infighting brutal.

    Cons

Too many meetings and heavy handed financial controls slow day to day business. Senior leaders pound the faster, better, cheaper mantra to death regardless of their understanding of reality.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Act more like managers and less like royalty.

Fairly good place to work, as with any big company, really comes down to the team you work with.

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Lots of options to work on different things without having to leave the company. Many groups are great to work with, and compensation is fair. If working with the right teams, ample opportunity to work on interesting things and grow yourself.

    Cons

Usual pitfalls of big companies - too much bureaucracy, needing to get buy-in from many people before doing something, slow to change and way too many people who have been there forever and resist change.

    Neutral Outlook
