ProsIf you enjoy traveling and career advancement this can be a good place to work in, the company is growing and getting better each fical year.

ConsIf you are a full time employee, flexibility can be a little harder since attendance is strictly enfforced. Unless you have no children, no school and just a free individual deducating your free time to working then full time is suitable but other than that part time is the best way to go around.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement should make medical benefits equal and lower to all employees. There is no legit reason as to why part time employees have different medical coverage than full timers. Another thing, management should not have increased the 2013 health benefits to the highest the industry has ever seen. Your company calls for "Fun, Safety, Passion and Caring" please try to act what you preach. The company is great no doubt, just a little corners to make straight; thats all. Just remember airlines come and go we seen a few great ones already and they are now trailing; 10+ years in the airline industry is little of time and a lot can change in a long run, but keep shooting for the stars.

ProsBy far, best company I've ever worked for. Great culture, people, brand, benefits, etc. Exciting industry. People really love what they do.

ConsObviously, politics will exist everywhere, but certain departments have their own culture where it's really out of control. The entire company doesn't have this toxic environment though. You just need to do your research with the team(s) you pursue opportunities in.

Advice to Senior ManagementHave more processes and standards in place to filter out bad seeds in management.

ProsGreat overall company to work for. Good people, good product. Training is more than adequate. Like any other company, the more positive you are the better.

ConsFlexibility is a must. Health care is expensive. Some infighting. Long hours, sometimes archaic rules that sometime seem one sided.

Current Employee – been working at JetBlue full-time for more than a year

ProsA growning company in the airline industry that is setting itself apart with a good strategy. Good oppourtuntiy for people seeking jobs in the mainstream avaition areas of the company. Typical profiles are prior airline types for the more traditional airline roles and outside aviation for entry level roles in ground operations, in-flight and airports.

ConsNot a good place to work for IT individuals. The business doesn't view IT as part of it's core and tends to view it as a necessary 'evil' to be tolerated. New CIO lacks airline experience and broad IT vision to improve the situation. The IT organizational structure is top heavy with many chiefs and fewer workers impacting the ability to execute and lost of focus.

Advice to Senior ManagementConsistency is necessary if you want the culture and values to thrive and it must be demostrated startng from the top with little or no exceptions.

Las Vegas, NV (US)

Former Employee – worked at JetBlue part-time for more than a year

ProsIn my opinion, JetBlue is the best airline available. From the fees to the personnel behind the ticket counter to the baggage handlers. Competitive pay and the free flights to wherever JetBlue flies is definitely a plus.

ConsSince JetBlue is such a close knit family, there is some favoritism in some of the day to day dealings. Certain groups ban together... and if you are on the outside of the bond, things may not go as fair for you as it would for others.

Advice to Senior ManagementNot to Management but to Corporate: take a closer look at who you have at certain stations and make sure that the dealings with the employees are fair and just. I am not disgruntled but a person that put his heart and soul into working 17 hr days as a part-time employee.

New York, NY (US)

Current Employee – been working at JetBlue full-time for more than a year

ProsUnlimited free travel
Great positive company culture
Supportive supervisor
Opportunity to visit cities all over the country while working and stay at nice hotels
Ability to have all the days off you want when you could afford it
Interesting coworkers from all backgrounds

ConsA lot of lazy whining coworkers who need to get a real job to appreciate what they have here
Unattractive cheap tired looking uniforms that don't show us at our best
Too much focus on seniority and not enough on merit

Advice to Senior ManagementComing from an industry where senior executives didn't even say hello to workers they'd seen around for ten years, it's so refreshing when Dave will just come right up to me, shake my hand and look me in the eye and chat...without looking over my shoulder for someone more important and useful to talk to.
