I worked at Jiffy Lube part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Mindless work, days go fast, you get pretty close to your coworkers. You can learn the basics of a car and a few people moved on to dealership shops which is a huge step up.

    Cons

You have to pass online classes to get raises, they have an arbitrary system to change oil that no one follows due to over complication. They also encourage you to work through your breaks 'to help out the team'

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They need to stop encouraging the sellers to try and shove different car 'services' down customers throats when they just want a quick oil change.

    Pros

I like working here for team building and gives you a great sense that your doing good in the world. Its a great feel good feeling until you see your pay check.

    Cons

Pay and benefits just don't seem right. I have been here a long time and work very hard doing the right thing. My review comes along and I'm told I have to work harder. Never a positive good thing, they keep you down. You get a sense your not good at what you do.

    I worked at Jiffy Lube

    Pros

great place to get your foot in the door in the automotive field.

    Cons

i feel the company treats the lower employees (general manager down to team members) with not enough respect, hated having to sell things to people to make net sales every day. especially when the uppers would push you to sell an abundant of useless items and services that mostly dont do the job correctly because the equipment is so old.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

all i can say is a little more respect to the guys in the actual shops would make a huge difference in moral and energy
