Baltimore, MD (US)

Current Employee – been working at Johns Hopkins part-time for more than a year

Pros-the name/reputation of course
-amaaazing benefits..health/dental/pharm coverage pays for so much
-a lot of opportunities to stay in the company and move around since Hopkins' name is everywhere (ie Bayview, JHU, Suburban, JH Community Physicians etc..)

Cons-staff is treated horribly, especially the nurses. Mostly its the scheduling/staffing of the floor. Too many patients per nurse= patient care goes down= patient conditions deteriorate
-the budget is cut down to the bare bones, causing staff shortages (see above)

Advice to Senior Managementfix the budget! Put the money in the most important place....your employees! What's it matter if the hospital gets a new, top-of-the-line MRI machine if there's no money left over to hire someone to operate it?

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
