Chicago, IL (US)

Current Employee – been working at Jones Lang LaSalle full-time for more than a year

ProsLarge amount of resources at your disposal. Global footprint. Opportunities to contribute and innovate within the firm.

ConsNo real mentorship. Your experience depends on the effectiveness of your manager. No transparency in promotion process. Work life balance is excellent in some teams and very subpar in others.

Advice to Senior ManagementImprove the quality of the HR team and have them participate in mid year reviews, make sure that managers are doing their jobs and employees are happy. Few opportunities to meet with people in other teams within the company leads to little to no cross selling.

Washington, DC (US)

Current Employee – been working at Jones Lang LaSalle as an intern for less than a year

ProsMost of the people who work here are very intelligent and generally hard working. Very open culturally and diverse attitude among leadership and people in the office.

ConsHard to move up if you don't have any in's. (As in your mom or dad doesn't own a real estate related business or if one of your relatives don't work in the company.)

Tongzhou, Beijing (China)

Former Employee – worked at Jones Lang LaSalle as an intern for less than a year

ProsVery team oriented and made me feel like I was fully integrated even though I was just an intern for the fall semester

ConsVery difficult to communicate with members of the team. If I was doing something off task/ outside the scope of the project they were reluctant to tell me.

Current Employee – been working at Jones Lang LaSalle full-time for less than a year

ProsI have worked in admin jobs elsewhere and Jones Lang LaSalle seems to be superior in it's perks. I appreciate flex-time, work from home, mothers room, variety of capacino choices, an occational omlete bar, and that they are not cheap when it comes to supplies. The bennifits are outstanding. I just want to be happy on a daily basis with the little things. The staff are extremely professional and kind.

ConsI thought my salery was good until I saw on this site what other's where being paid in the exact same position as me. There was no organization getting started for training. It was a kind of sink or swim situation. I have no clue who my supervisor is and I've been here a month. I'm not sure if we get performance reviews. I often find myself spending a great deal of time trying to figure out who to contact with questions. In my position there is no room for growth, or pay raises. For now I am content but I can foresee losing motivation.

Advice to Senior ManagementI feel like there is no clear chain of command.

Current Employee – been working at Jones Lang LaSalle full-time for more than a year

ProsVery good company to work for, with special attention paid to giving workers adequate training. Generally speaking the managers at JLL are very professional. I am very happy to have the valuable experience to be working at JLL.

ConsDoes require a great deal of overtime to be successful. But I fear this is indicative of the industry, rather than this specific company.

Dallas, TX (US)

Current Employee – been working at Jones Lang LaSalle full-time for less than a year

ProsI can think of very few pros in the lease administration department in Dallas. I imagine there are several if you manage to work in another division.

ConsThe work itself is tedious. The processes are overwrought and the workloads are crushing. You are assigned a laptop and provided with access to work remotely, which you will be doing 3 out of 4 weekends. Any mistakes/errors, you will be thrown under the bus. I am actively looking for work elsewhere.

Advice to Senior ManagementNo advice. There is a shoot the messenger mentality here.
