ProsCompany gives updates and very good training in HR and Labor Laws-Very Good. Excellent

ConsUnfortunately company has not good Employee's Benefits and the salaries aer very low.

Advice to Senior ManagementThey should work with the Employee Retention Area. The employee are obligated to look for other jobs with better salary opportunites and benefits.

good temp company

I have been working at Kelly Services as a contractor for less than a year

Prosworking with kelly doing different contract positions. Gained lots of experience and connections along the way. Has helped with me gaining the skills needed for the future. Recruiters are helpful in finding open assignments.

ConsAs a contractor the benefits are not that good. You do not get paid time off unless you work on an assignment for 1,500 hours (about 6 months). A lot of the openings are not high pay and long term.

Advice to Senior Managementthe recruiters are very helpful in finding meaningful work.

Review of Education Services for Kelly Services (Substitute Teachers)

I worked at Kelly Services part-time for less than a year

ProsYou can call each day and choose your assignment for the following day, M-F. The office staff are very professional and courteous, and friendly. They are always ready to assist in every way they can.

ConsYou don't have a regular class assignment where you could get to know the students and staff. The kids often act out and dont take the substitute teacher seriously.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe client schools should have a system where students rerceive the proper sanction for either good or bad behavior. If you call the office of a school they should respond immediately, so the students know what to expect. Consistency is important. An e-mail couild be sent to parents each time the student acts out. Students should receive reinforcers for good behavior. If students dont pay attention to their assignments, teachers should be able to discuss something interesting with the class that they are familiar with, even if it varies with the schedule. This type of procedure has caused students to consider fields which they previously knew little about..

Conslimit time contracts 1 to 2 year temorary positions

Advice to Senior Managementcreate more opportunities for temps who complete contracts with an a plus rating a better chance of finding full time long term employment. meaning temps who go above and beyond but don't get hired to limited open positions get put on a list to be eligible for advanced opportunities

ProsI really enjoyed being able to fill my time with many different people jobs. Working 2-3 days per week with Kelly I earned more than working full time at my regular job! Great company with great staff.

ConsThe only thing to keep in mind is that not all of the staff have the same opportunities, so make friends with all of them and email them every once in a while to see whats coming up!
