Pros – work-life is pretty awesome....only working more than 40 hours during certain phases of a program

Cons – bored a lot of times. if you're old, this is a perfect gig. average age of a Loral employee is 50. says it all.

Pros – High tech all the way. Cutting edge spacecraft design. Technical people well thought of and have parallel career paths to management

Cons – Somewhat of a big company feel. If you have worked for small companies (<100) then it may take some getting used to.

Pros – This is a growing company with lots of opportunity to demonstrate leadership and to grow ones self professionally.

Cons – Processes involved in building satellites can be strict and confining. While understandable in light of the requirement for reliability in the space environment, this can be daunting for the uninitiated.

Advice to Senior Management – Don't be too eager to implement whatever new fangled MBA mantra is the fashion of the day, without analyzing applicability to the satellite building low volume manufacturing environment.

Cons – Far from where I live, the commute is getting very taxing.
Old buildings and old furniture.
Not enough paid holidays.
