    Pros

    Marriott really cares for there employees. There's a phenomenal career advancement program, great associate discount rate, health, life insurance, just an overall nice place to work.

    Cons

    Hard work/life balance. With hotels being open and operated 24/7/365 you could get a phone call at 3:00 AM asking you to come in. Guest word is law. If a guest says you did something negative, even though you didn't, chances are you'll be disciplined.

    Pros

    Good location. I work with some of the best peolpe in my life. Lots of diversity, you meet people from around the world. Feels like a family. You learn a lot at the job.

    Cons

    No work life balance, very long hours that inmediate supervisors don't appreciate. They should change the policy for relantionships, too much gossip about who is with who. You have no sick days.

    Change some rules, too much gossip, dating and people bringing their personalife to work, including managers.

    Pros

    Great benefits, hotel perks are awesome as Marriott hotels are worldwide. Marriott associates are very professional and exceptionally friendly.

    Cons

    There was a lack of professional and personal growth in our department. This industry relies heavily on high and low season which makes it difficult to have financial stability during off seasons.

    Pros

    Great co-workers, fun work environment, but also high employee standards. If you like customer service you will love working for Marriott.

    Cons

    Very poor management. Terrible, long and sometimes back to back hours.

    TRAIN. Train everyone thoroughly. They don't get enough training and that effects the guest experience and also the employees.

    Pros

    My direct manager is the reason I love working for this company no matter what it is my manager is always there to help me get better. If you show interest in wanting to move forward with the company and get promoted they are there to give you the tools to do so. Marriott is a company that would like to see there employees move up the chain and if you have a great manager they will help you to succeed.

    Cons

    You can be forced to cross training at the particular Marriott property I work at and yes it's fine to learn other departments but if that's not what I applied for then that me make the choice to not cross training right away.
