    I worked at McKesson

    Pros

Large company - well reputed; diverse workforce; busy and challenging environment, fast paced. Friendly staff., pleasant management.

    Cons

Understaffed - not enough staff to handle the workload. Often required to work very long hours. Overtime a constant necessity, particularly when another member of staff was away. Difficult to take annual leave. High stress.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure staff levels are realistic relative to the workload; don't take on new contracts until it is clear that the company can handle the growth - lest contracts are lost due to staff being unable to deal with the demands of current/existing contracts.

Current Employee - Accountant III in Jacksonville, FL (US)

I have been working at McKesson full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Strong in developing staff, lots of opportunity for advancement if you want to live in Georgia of San Francisco, They are fairly hands off when it comes to being a company owned by McKesson.

    Cons

It can be a bear to get things through legal for approval. They sometimes try to centralize duties that don't make sense because it makes things more difficult from an operational standpoint even if it saves money when it comes to staffing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    None.
