Current Employee – been working at Monsanto Company
Pros – Fantastic growth opportunities with maximum return on time-effort investment. Great, fun people to work with. Superb annual barbecue with great music.
Cons – Worst point is that you have to go home at the end of the day, leaving behind the wonderful colleague team spirit and office.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep doing what you are doing as it is working very well. Just sit back and take a step back from time to time.

Current Employee – been working at Monsanto Company full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Excellent resources allow for full implementation of the newest technology. Great internal development and advancement opportunities. A true focus on company values to Produce More, Consume Less and Improve Lives.
Cons – Similar to most large corporation, the Cons are that research is market driven and not interest driven and subject to change on short notice. Additional Con of Monsanto is that due to the company's position as the industry leader in crop biotechnology, there company and it's employees are often villified.
Advice to Senior Management – Continue forward with the emphasis on customer relations and sharing value with the farmer customers. Never forget the lessons that have been learned from neglecting these relationships in the past.

Former Employee – worked at Monsanto Company full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Great pay, can move far, especially if you are female or a minority. Must be able to play the political games.
Cons – Highly political - success is based on who you work for and their success. Very PC - embraced the mobile workforce shortly after 401Ks became available (to the point of distributing "how to write your resume" booklets). Very diversity oriented (e.g. White males need not apply).
Advice to Senior Management – High the best people you can find and overpay them to stay. One A+ player is worth 3-4 C players.

Former Employee – worked at Monsanto Company full-time for more than a year
Pros – Good benefits for employees. Has a good attention and support as heath care assistance extensible to family members
Cons – Too much talk and poor action. Have a big difference in what they say and write and what really they do. The most demagogic company I know.
Advice to Senior Management – Just act simple. Do what you write or say to do.

Current Employee – been working at Monsanto Company full-time
Pros – good allround field and market experience for a fresher.flexibility to do the job your way, helps in building result orientation attitude.
Cons – no extra attention given to skill development of TSMs.no fastrack growth opportunity.leadership programme starts only at the RSM level resulting in many budding TSMs look for better opportunites elsewhere.not everybody can wait for 7-8 years to get promoted to RSM level
Advice to Senior Management – please make the entry level TSMs go through rigorous stints across all business domains viz supply chain, marketing, distribution as this will give them a better idea of the business and help them take ownership of it through their current role
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
