    Motorola is a company with tradition, has made many records of the world, and has a tradition that put focus on engineering. management team is putting a lot of emphasis on innovation, and try to re-innovate the company. New products are gaining focus from the media.

    Still need a new leader who is powerful enough to be able to turn the overall direction. Need find new source of income.

    The culture is good and there is new a push to innovate things apart from the regular day to day work. Frequency of communication from the SLT has increased of late, that helps everyone to be in sync with the overall plans. Very satisfied with the work life balance and the facilities available

    Work culture is very very good. Very very flexible timings. The best place to work for software engineer.

    Great incubator for technologists and engineering talent. Good people who are smart and hardworking.

    Cons

    Hyper competitive mobile category requires one clear focused strategy. Lack of business planning. Too many products chasing too few opportunities to breakthrough the clutter. Lack of focus on delivering products that meet unmet or unarticulated consumer needs.

    Place fewer bets on bigger opportunities to deliver huge leap in utility and value for consumers.

    When I worked for them there were several rounds of layoffs with the run up to the Google Acquisition, then the spinoff of Home to ARRIS.
