    Pros

discount 40% off on any product, you can use your discount for anyone of your friends and family
free uniform every 3 months including bottoms, tops and footwear
    nice, friendly and cool people

    Cons

    management is unorganized and terrible
your just a number in that store, you only progress if you suck up
I request days off an fill in the correct form and they dont even give me my days off, this happen on more then one occasion
they mess up your holiday time off, more than one person including myself booked holiday time off and it didnt get sorted
when i first started working there, they messed up my pay and i had to wait another week for my pay
i have to chase them up on my uniform, my pay, my holiday request, my days off
they get nothing done unless you keep chasing them up
but when they want something from you, they chase you up real quick
its pathetic how you cant wear any competitive brands, i heard on one occasion somebody wore reebok socks and got sent home on their shift that is so pathetic
they never sort out your problems they keep saying come back later we are too busy
the discount is what is keeping me here cause everything else is whack

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    listen to your workers
    sort yourself out
if you are meant to sort out someone time off then sort it out
if you are asked to sort out someone holiday request than do it
    stop being selfish
you want people to do stuff for you
but cant even do your job
stop telling staff to come back later do your job
understaffed you guys need to hire more people
an when people request time off an filled in the form, look at the form
whats the point in following procedure if you guys wont

    I worked at NIKE

    Pros

Great environment where everyone truly believes in the brand and is passionate about it. If sport is your passion this is the right place.

    Cons

Long waits for good growth opportunities.
Most of decisions come from European HQ or WW HQ so territories have a more "execution" role.

    Constant bullying and pressure

    I worked at NIKE

    Pros

It's amazing discounts however with the premium price of shoes in comparison to the pay I can understand why..

All the team members on your level are friendly and keep the shifts entertaining to say the most

    Cons

Terrible management. They do not know what they are doing.

They choose ridiculous locations for stores and fill these stores with old trainers I would never think about buying and wonder why we don't get a huge profit.

Management are constantly nagging you and pressurising you to do more and more and do not acknowledge one bit of success.. Feels like I'm back in school.

The management are bullies in abuse of their power.

The discount as I said is good but for premium priced shoes on a part time contract it's understandable why..!

No holidays ever.. Keep getting denied my holiday requests.

Hours are terrible. Both if you want more hours or less.. Stupid retails 4 hour shift pattern makes it a pain to balance school/college & having a social life..!

Again the management are abusive to other staff behind their backs and there is a lot and lot of sneaky comments about people's personal lives and work ethics in store.. It really is a very manipulative and bullying atmosphere where If you don't stand up you will be trodden on & if you do stand up for yourself you will be cautious about losing your job.

Furthermore when a member of staff complained to higher powers the higher power told the manager and made this employees life hell.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management need more training and need to stop putting so much pressure on staff as without these staff they would be nothing.

    Listen to your team members.

I have been extremely honest in this review.

If you want to work for nike be prepared to be made to feel like a child.

I have been working at NIKE full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Tremendous company ethos and a highly sought after brand which made it a pleasure to sell. A fast paced, high energy environment and a company that cares deeply about its employees. An example: full medical benefits from day one. Great people to work with and a beautiful, state-of-the- art store environment in which any employee would be proud to work.

    Cons

Long hours are the name of the game in retail and this position is no exception. Unless you are comfortable with 12 hour days from start to finish, this is probably not the situation for you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Attract more college educated athletes who truly know and appreciate the history of the NIKE brand from firsthand experience in the athletic arena. Recognize these individuals and help them seek greater, higher level advancement in the company after they have learned the retail essence of the company.
