    Pros

    - Good work life balance. You can have your paid holidays as you like.
    - No worries for you job security since the worker's union is so strong, your position is secured till you retire.
    - Good incentive for your skill up. The company has list of incentive for getting qualification such as LPIC etc.
    - Great welfare ! So many things are covered.
    - Job rotation in every 2-3 years. If you aim for the generalist, it is a great place.

    Cons

    - As the work is mostly management, it might be boring.
    - Evaluation is so unclear. If you are not in the rail at the point of the recruitment , you will not get promoted for loooong time.

    Advice to Management

Evaluation system is not working and many talented young employees are leaving because of it.
    It should be improved drastically.

    Pros

Talented team of resources supporting various departments. IT/ERP application has been leveraged fully to automate process as much as possible. A nice and decent company to work for. As an outside contractor reaching the client team even though they are remotely located was never a problem. A rule book following culture.

    Cons

Most of the planning for IT is done in adhoc basis. New versions of application and fuller utilization of all features of various tools was not done consistently.

    Advice to Management

    None

-Pomotional opportunities limited to top level Japanese university grads

    Pros

People there are friendly and open minded. I can discuss my work with my supervisor whenever he has time. Salary is good.

    Cons

If I were asked to say some downsides of working at NTT DoCoMo USA labs, I would say their research team is not very big and the chances of exchanging ideas with people from similar background are slim.

    Advice to Management

NTT DoCoMo is a strong company in the field of telecommunications. I feel proud to have worked there for one summer.
