    Pros

There are interesting and challenging tasks, and most of the time is working with brilliant coworkers, it's a quite good place if you plan to polish you tech capabilities further.

    Cons

Sometimes the workload is a little high for an individual engineer, and for one to ramp up, most of the time you have to learn by yourself, so it's all depends on your ability to learn.

    Pros

Visionary CEO, Great Company Culture & fast paced company. Never a dull moment while working here

    Cons

As the company is getting bigger it tends to get a little bureaucratic at certain levels. Getting promoted gets a little challenged once you reach a certain level

    Advice to Management

Continue the good work. Enable better collaboration between employees. The company has a great CEO & it can achieve greater heights if it executes on the plans.

    Pros

Valuable experience in GPU computing and architecture
Great people to work with and a supporting and flexible environment
    Interesting projects

    Cons

The company is more modest in the benefits and working conditions than tech giants like Facebook or Google.

    Advice to Management

Invest in preparing technical quickstart manuals for new interns/employees in their respective fields of work, and create forums for cross-company knowledge sharing.

    Pros

Flexible work schedule, managers with integrity, effort is noticed, appreciated, and compensated. There is a general respect for free time.

    Cons

Not always a clear professional progression, job descriptions do not always accurately describe the actual responsibilities. The company tends to over-load employees so it can be difficult to get responses and feedback from other groups unless you start adding managers and directors to email communique.

    Advice to Management

Diminish the over-load on employees or be more understanding of the fact that ALL employees have very full work queues. Give employees more time during the work-week, not after hours or weekends, for professional development. The culture and environment are otherwise great, but not allowing time for personal projects can lead to burn-out and eventually people leaving the company.

Fast paced and start-up kind of culture getting to work on a number of different things. Very hands on and satisfying.

    Pros

Work from ground up on several things. Ownership provides satisfaction.

    Cons

Maintaining work-life balance is a challenge. Ability to move to other groups that maybe of greater interest is limited.

    Advice to Management

Better work-life balance and more flexibility to move into other groups of interest

    Pros

Surrounded by people who are exceptionally smart and excited about the work they are doing. There are always new things going on much to learn.

    Cons

Long hours depending on group. Engineering works very hard to ensure timelines are met which means that personal time is often secondary. Very flat organization, so moving "up the ladder" can be quite challenging.

    Advice to Management

Fitness center is lacking for a company of this size. Even something as simple as treadmills, elliptical machines would be a plus.

    Pros

Good place to start with. Lots of work and a lot of exposure to new things. As an NCG, you'll get a chance to learn a lot of things and apply your skills to develop new things. The company runs at an SOL (speed of light) schedule.

    Cons

Lots of things to juggle makes it difficult to focus. Perks are not that great. There is no annual bonus. Salary increments are not much. There is still a startup sort of attitude in the company.

  9. Thrilling engineering, tumultuous planning and execution, great experience.

    Pros

Flexibility from within the business side of things allowed me to still do some engineering for demos, and work with people throughout the company. It's possible to work with some incredibly impressive people from all backgrounds within engineering, academia, and Silicon Valley.

    Cons

Projects and demos get cancelled, postponed, and reborn. All of this occurs at the "Speed of Light", which can be jarring internally, or disrupt external partners.

    Advice to Management

A Kalman filter would help maintain a rolling weighted average on lots of decisions, especially with regard to demos, product launches, and product planning. Jensen is brilliant, but also temperamental. If you can work with him, you can work with anyone. It might be nice to get back in the OEM game.

    Pros

    Cons

Not many career paths for technical people outside going into management

    Advice to Management

To reduce turnover, make more carrer paths available to technical people
