    Pros

Really good genuine people. Work/life balance can be achieved. Direct impact to company bottom line. Great opportunities for growth and development but it takes initiative and hard work.

    Cons

Huge organization that is very complex matrix. Can be difficult to navigate.

    Advice to Management

Internal movement is huge, but sometimes you need outside talent with different perspective to spark internal innovation and healthy competition.

    Pros

Nestle heavily promotes and supports employee development and training. Opportunities are always available for those willing to invest in their own development.

    Cons

Employees are required to wear many "hats" that can sometimes feel overwhelming. The high performance environment often leads to the point of diminishing returns.

    Advice to Management

Streamline procedures, there are often so many boxes to check that the actual value add of the activity/procedure is decreased.

    Pros

Great people, generally good work atmosphere, good pay and benefits, at my level didn't have to take the work home - but higher levels were always working. Understanding of family concerns and flexibility.

    Cons

Turnover in management, Silos, focus on running lean means employees are overworked, work life balance is preached but not upheld, career progress only for high level management

    Advice to Management

Extend career growth opportunities to frontline. Let the people involved in projects/products influence decisions from the top.

    Pros

    Fantastic Staff
Innovative, willing to change, and moving with the future of Nestle
The staff runs a results-driven environment that focuses on capability and growth

    Cons

It's tough managing a union facility. The contract makes it tough for HR and management to make the changes necessary to help the factory run. Sometimes, the morale is low due to management changes.

    Advice to Management

There needs to be a higher dedication to training. They say they are dedicated to a new learning environment...but the effort isn't always there.

    Pros

Can't say enough about how much I enjoy the people I work with...makes everyday energized knowing you have incredibly talented, well intentioned people that are extremely approachable and friendly (for the most part).

    Cons

We are fooling ourselves in believing we can turn around our datef brands in challenging categories in which private label and ankle biters continue to steal share. We actually still believe that we can turn around a frozen business, change American perceptions of instant coffee, and keep growth on a billion dollar highly artificial Creamer business. I suppose the belief that we can keeps everyone from going insane. Typical car study of how a dying business is not seeing reality in the marketplace. It's just going to get worse -as much as I want to believe it. Also, there is an over emphasis on the incompretrnce of leadership / while the style can be off-putting, you try to turn this Titanic around, no easy task.

    Advice to Management

Sell off dying brands...and invest in High growth businesses!
