ProsBen Sherman is the only retail store to date that I would ever go back to. The store in SoHo NY has about 30-35 employees, tops, and only a handful of managers. Everyone knows each other, are respectful, and the atmosphere is laid back unless it gets busy. The crowd that would frequent this location is mostly tourists because its situated on Broadway. You do have to wear Ben Sherman clothing, but every season you get an allotment and are rewarded with good sales with gift cards. Also, Ben Sherman occasionally hosts cool parties with DJs and drinks that the employees "work" at...Good Times!
Salary to start is very fair, and competitive to your experience.

ConsThey used to have decent break times for 6 hour shifts, with a half hour for break and 10 minute breaks. But they did away with the extra breaks halfway through my time there with a corporate management turn over.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep treating the employees with respect and they'll love you for it.

Prosthey have flexible hours, can work 10 hours a day and then have Friday off

ConsBad management, little to no leadership, good ol'boy network, keep cutting benefits, They do not value experience - they cut people with senority to save money.. Twice the work for half the money.
