I worked at P.F. Chang's full-time for more than 3 years

Pros- FAMILY MEAL!!
- Nurturing environment

ConsAs with any restaurant, management is looking for shortcuts to cut costs, hardly a con, but some might find it petty.

Mixed Reviews for Mixed Jobs

Pantry Cook, Drahma Cook, Utility (Current Employee)

I have been working at P.F. Chang's full-time for more than a year

Pros*Tight knit environment
*Open communication
*Can network amongst your market group
*Can grow within the company (I worked both FOH and multiple positions BOH)
*Family Meal
*Actual cooking (very few pre-packaged, pre cooked foods, if at all)
*Moderately good wages
Servers-$2.13/hr
Back waiters/Bartenders- $3-$5.25/hr
Utility-$9/hr
Pantry/Drama/Wok-$10-$11
Multiple positions (pantry and wok, drama and pantry, etc)- $12+
Key hourly (non salary manager)- $14.50+
*The premise and ideals the company is built off of are excellent

Cons*The actual practice of some of these ideals is not always carried out
*Management tends to care more about their bonus than their employees
*Inconsistent hours which you don't have much of an opinion on (20 hours one week, 76 the next)
*I have found few managers with the passion for the company that is needed
*Corporate tends to care about the final numbers as opposed to their employees needs
*You give an inch, management takes a mile. If you go above and beyond, it has a tendency to be expected, but never rewarded or acknowledged
*Professionalism is almost completely lacking
*Similar problems throughout many of the stores

Advice to Senior ManagementThis is 'just a job' to most managers, but they still insist on working there. That is their prerogative, that's fine. But conveying that to employees not only provides zero motivation, it promotes an unprofessional environment. Management needs spend more time improving the work place, and less complaining about how miserable they are while trying to sleep with the wait staff.
