I have been working at P.F. Chang's full-time for more than a year

    Pros

This company is very corporate and keeps their standards very professional when it comes to customer service. I have worked a lot of customer service jobs before in the past and this is the only company in the restaurant industry I can see myself moving up into corporate.

    Cons

Be ready to work hard in a fast pace environment

Uses hotschedules, friendly atmosphere, great place to work your way up to serving, flexible work schedule

I have been working at P.F. Chang's part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The job has pretty flexible hours and the managers usually respect your availability. Money is decent during the busy season.

    Cons

If you are available to work all day Saturday and Sunday you will not be allowed a break. It will often be a 11-13 hour straight shift and they will only feed you sometimes. There's no such thing as a holiday break. You have to be available to work holidays, especially from Black Friday until New Year's Day. Naturally, since this is the restaurant business, don't expect any benefits really.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I don't expect this to change, but if you schedule someone against their availability, it should not fall upon their shoulders to find someone to cover their shift or face the consequences. Favoritism is also an annoying thing to have to deal with. You're in a leadership position. Some professionalism would be nice from time to time.

I have been working at P.F. Chang's full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Room for advancement, development, allowed me to make my own schedule, some level of autonomy before center bridge buy out that is not common in a corporate restaurant

    Cons

Compensation went down after center bridge buy out, quality went south, constraints on labor, renegotiated salary made me decide to part ways with company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

not so bottom line focused, spend a little to get a lot back, lessen constraints on labor

    Pros

Money. Co-workers. Great food. Regulars come in often. Summers are busy.

    Cons

Management and unorganized chaos ticket times horrible! Chef wipes face with nasty towel and doesn't wash hands. Hands play in rice sticks. Nasty.

I have been working at P.F. Chang's full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The actual team I work for is great. In fact, most of the people at the corporate are great to work with. They are also very willing to work with you on a great work/life balance

    Cons

Bonuses have not been paid out with no end in sight, low paying because can't afford to pay employees more, owned by a private equity firm which creates unattainable goals, sales are trending downward with no end in site

I have been working at P.F. Chang's full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You get the hours you need,
Boh the house get to basically eat for free
    Flexible schedules
Understanding when you need to call out
Understanding over all about running late. Etc.
When slow easy atomospher to work in

    Cons

When busy there is always screaming and yelling. Blame is placed on lower level employees. Upper mgmt looks out for themselves whith no regards to lower level employees. You know your easily replaced because they tell you to your face. Mgmt slacks off and puts their job on lower levels. Integrity is very questionable. Not family oriented. Everyone runs around talking about everyone. Not a place to build a career they promote from other stores not from within based on being a training store. Only care about cleaning and apperance when head boss is coming in. Not worththe pay nor time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Value your employees let them know they are valued as a team. Dont continuously give negitive criticism. If an employee is doing something wrong teach the proper way. Listen to lower levels concerns they are always valid. Know that some upper mgmt is all about themselves and its your lower level employees that make the store work and flow.
