Former Employee – worked at Patterson-UTI Energy
Pros – Using new methods of employee recruiting and training, as well as safety standards and expectations to provide extreme efficiency in workflows and an unmatched safe working environment for drilling crews. Provides leadership training conferences for all employees. Making great strides to enhance management functions to improve employee relations and accountability at labor sites.
Cons – Promotes employees to crew leadership by length of service instead of those that exhibit leadership attributes. Due to nature of industry, the upper management is typically far removed from actual rig sites, allowing for unsuitable management practices on rigs, as well as lack of reporting of issues and accountability of rig managers and crews.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
