    Pros

The customers are great and my regulars made it fun to work with.

    Cons

The employees were very rude and thought that their way was the only way.

    Advice to Management

Work as a team instead of just playing favorites, and rotate server stations and shifts.

    Pros

Great training , both in and out of stores.
    People generally great.
    Food consistant

    Cons

Not willing to upgrade older stores.
Upper Management is rotating continually especially the Regional managers.
Higher level managers rarely if at all seen or do they seem to care about the stores that need the most attention.
It tends to be a "boys club" at some level.
Not really a great place to work if you need family time off.

    Advice to Management

Upper management show up and act like you care in the stores that need help , remodels, staffing , etc. Virtually invisible.

    Pros

The employees are great but manament is not usually willing to do what it takes.

    Cons

Expect to always run short on people.

    Advice to Management

A store does not need 5 expensive managers If they want to make labor. They just need 3 who want to work.

    Pros

Open door policy. Manager is better than what the job calls for. Credible health plan. Limited micro-managing.

    Cons

Literacy would help. Insecure assistant management. Inability or lack of how to relate one one one with employees. Little if any room for advancement. Policy seems to be ' just enough to keep corporate at bay "

    Advice to Management

Challenge your assistant managers to be more productive. They are too complacent. Non show any initiative. Try having them stay sober.

    Cons

Customers from the area tend to be rude and entitled.

    Advice to Management

Show more concern about the way employees treat each other

    Pros

The only positive thing is the coworkers they are all a great group of people.

    Cons

Very poor management. They treat you with no respect and like you are an idiot.

    Advice to Management

Show respect and actually schedule where people can actually do the cleaning and give back the extra vacation week back to those who earned that.

Current Employee - Server in Minneapolis, MN (US)

I have been working at Perkins Restaurant and Bakery part-time

    Pros

    Tips

Some of the people are nice

    Discounts on food

    Cons

I usually work 1.5-2 hours passed my scheduled time.

Open 24 hours including holidays. If you're new, be prepared to work every holiday while others are never scheduled

    Advice to Management

They could post the weekly schedule in advance instead of the day before the new week starts OR the first day of the new week.

Schedule more people during the busy rush hours.

At the end of your shift, servers are all in charge of cleaning up specific areas. I was never trained in what to actually do, and there are various ways people have told me what's supposed to happen (i.e there needs to be a concise way of cleaning up)
