I have been working at Philip Morris International

    Pros

Strong culture, aggressive (in a positive sense) and fast-paced, rewards hard work and contributions with opportunities
Strong and well developed processes - internally we feel over-engineered, externally we are often seen as state of the art
    Great talent management process

    Cons

Integration of new entrants is a challenge, but if you can hit the ground running the reward is worth it
Culture still somewhat hierarchical but beginning to change
    Not very forgiving with mediocrity

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep going but don't lose sight of those who got you where we are today. Stick with our principles that are behind our success. Remember that we need to invest in our success, even at a cost...ease down on the cost cutting.

    Pros

    Brilliant PR in social media

    Cons

Extremely do not recommend for technical specialists! I had worked for several companies so I can say - PMI it's truly amateurs.
Decision about working there is one of my worst decisions in life - wasted years and potential !!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Philip Morris International full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    Running water in the restroom

    Cons

Senseless projects, realized just to justify the existence of managerial positions.
You know end results but manager has "historic" or "sociological" background so he dont understand what you're talking about. "Lets try because it looks really nice on Power point presentation and I've already showed the presentation to director and was very happy, Now we must do it even is it senseless and of course it's impossible to do "

I have been working at Philip Morris International full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Provides good exposure, dynamic and multinational environment. Opportunities to learn and work with a lot of professionals that try to do their best. Salary is incredible competitive.

    Cons

No empowerment, enormous amount of pressure, leadership is more authoritarian than shared. Enormous challenges and high level of demotivation

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leadership style and more innovation is required. Diversity is supposed to be a matter that cares, but it is not visible anywhere

    Pros

PMI SSC is a great company to get your career started in a certain field. The environment is extremely international and the learning opportunities are various while team leaders are quite supportive. Good chances of promoting based on merit rather than other reasons.

    Cons

Certain positions are "off limits" unless you speak the local language.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

Company is professionally set up. Working here, you can receive a detailed look on good organisational structure and well-designed processes within the company.

    Cons

Career growth is slow, you have to develop step-by-step through many years of work with simple tasks. To grow you need to do lots of political interactions.
