    Pros

I'll say it first. If you are have to choose a career in insurance... it's objectively one of the best choices, this coming from someone who greatly dislikes the industry. That said, their products are costly, meaning often you find yourself selling a suboptimal package from a purely cost perspective

Builds confidence in people to high pressure
Training and pressure allows you to build strong bonds which may be the main thing that stops people in the industry from leaving

    Cons

The job does not discriminate between working and off-work hours
A sense that you are exploiting your friends
A strong draw to push aside your morals

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Checks and balances + KPIs directly on the quality of sales culture being developed

    Cons

Micromanaging senior management team, who pretends to know it all.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I worked at Prudential plc

    Pros

Descent paymaster. Hard think of anything else.

    Cons

Management is not driven by level of expertise and effort brought in, rather by where you come from! No acknowledgement of hard work. Bureaucracy and politics at its peak where threads reaching HQs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Completely change the very top management and bring in competent team leader, who really understands the business and turn this place to business than House of Lords.

I have been working at Prudential plc

    Pros

The treatment of the staff by the HR is excellent and a good demonstration of it's caring ethos towards the staff though the same cannot be said of the management of the company.

    Cons

Long working hours and a very demanding place - which at times may compromise your work-life balance. The compensation may be fair but the bonus payout leaves much to be desired.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Relook at the ratio of male-female workforce - this may yet impact on the overall morale of the staff, particularly those on the mid management side.

    I worked at Prudential plc

    Pros

I'm talking from the agent's perspective so emplyed staffs, sorry. Good communication between the top management and the employee especially the agency force. Takes feedbacks seriously and the processing of the paper works andclaims are efficient too, though sometimes there are cocks up but a few bugging on the phone will get it done in no time.

    Cons

Agent's perspective: Sell or you eat peanuts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Agent perspective as usual, should have general insurance products lineups and a basic pay as other companies are poaching away agents with attractive basic + comms packages.

I have been working at Prudential plc

    Pros

They buy you a dinner at Christmas if you make the top 50 list ..otherwise it's rice and water....

    Cons

Management is by Aliens who do things quite strangely, and people vanish all the time for no apparent reason. Other people quit for no apparent reason other than they are fed up with their friends / work counterparts being treated like wankers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Should bring back the man from PRU concept and show some flair rather than Machiavellian BS and keeping people looking over their shoulder daily. Stop being introverted BS'ers and learn how to work in the current world. Use less consultants and trust internal people who are hired to do the job.
