    Pros

Fast growing company that truly supports and encouraging employee growth. Every single individual in a company with over 1000 UK employees are awesome to work with.

    Cons

changes can take a while to come into effect due to company size and changes processes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve the change processes. Perhaps have a change board for internal processes.

A great drive to improve; Really cares about employee engagement; Truly follows its core values; Works hard, plays hard; There are some really supportive people here that will do whatever is in their power to see you on the right path

    Cons

Your working location has a huge effect on the treatment by the local-level management; these bad eggs are few and far between however

I have been working at Rackspace full-time

    Pros

Great people and work place. All my immediate managers have been helpful and accommodating both professionally and personally. Co-workers are motivated, friendly and have a great work ethic. Everyone really tries to do the right thing for the customer and each other.

    Cons

Nowhere is perfect, but I've built up my career there and it's consistently gotten better. With tenure and experience, compensation catches up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep looking out for employees, and they will keep looking out for customers.

I worked at Rackspace full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

A good place to get basic skills, you are thrown at the customers with relatively little experience but you tend to have the support of a relatively good team usually.

    Cons

It tends to be career suicide to stay there longer than 2 years, promotions and career progression are based solely on tenior and are heavily biased with favoritism. Very low paychecks in comparison to the rest of the industry.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Grow up, offer some grown up company inventives to your people to build and retain even better teams and then try to take on the likes of IBM, stop trying to use techies as managers it does not work and they tend to make severely biased decisions as they are not suitable for the role.

    Pros

    Great exposure to different technologies
People for the most part are great and happy to help you
Opportunities to drive change and make a difference

    Cons

Lots of decisions driven by the US - other regions simply execute
Some senior managers not up to the job - have been promoted simply because they have been there so long
Whilst the UK office is nice, the location is not great

Current Employee - Windows Systems Administrator III in London, England

I have been working at Rackspace full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent pay, especially for San Antonio. OK salaries for other areas. Some people will like the 'culture', shooting each other with rubber darts, etc. Fairly easy to get hired, so can be a good place to get started in IT.

    Cons

They tend to skimp on facilities, which means if you're working for Rackspace UK, you'll be in some zone 6 post-apocalyptic landscape. Technical role progression is pretty limited outside of the US offices. Middle management is generally pretty unimaginative, and there are way too many managers.
