Current Employee – been working at Regions Financial part-time for less than a year
Pros – Great team, reasonable sales goals, understanding management! Like any job, you get out what you put in, however, this company makes it clear that it values its employees and offers a lot of support/ coaching/ mentoring
Cons – I was part-time so there were no huge downsides but I guess it depends on the branch that you work at and the pace of work that you prefer.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Pros – I love the attention this company gives to it's employees and the fact that they recognize that we do actually have a life outside of work...in fact they encourage the life-work balance!
Cons – Very sales oriented, which in itself isn't bad, but can be frustrating to focus on all the time.

Current Employee – been working at Regions Financial full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – I work with a great team and enjoy going to work. Management is very supportive, from mid-level to executive. I feel very comfortable escalating any issues to them, and am confident that they will respond positively to me.
Cons – Pay is not very good and there is little direction for career advancement, although the opportunities are there.
Advice to Senior Management – Have a better approach for people wanting to move up. It would be nice to have certain goals set, etc. i.e. "To get here, this is what you need to do..."

Current Employee – been working at Regions Financial full-time for more than a year
Pros – The best thing about being a teller is banker hours. Closed on federal holiday, vacation/sick time, and benefits. This company provides many learning opportunities and advancements. From teller to platform, platform to assistant manager etc.
Cons – Constant pressure to push products. Tellers assume a lot of risk (cashing large checks, handling large sums of cash, etc.) for comparatively low pay. Tellers are only recognized positively for meeting sales goals while only being penalized for mistakes in other areas that make of the majority of their responsibility.
Advice to Senior Management – Allow diversity on the teller side. Vault tellers, head tellers, and normal tellers should not be expected to all produce the same results.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Former Employee – worked at Regions Financial full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Learned some valuable knowledge about the banking and financial industries.
Cons – Horrible local management. Vast discrepancy in pay for same positions/experience/education.
Advice to Senior Management – Promote people based on aptitude and performance, not randomly selected "chosen ones". I saw many qualified employees passed over for positions in favor of less competent choices, who were friends of management.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
