Current Employee – been working at SITA full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – A good place to work, I can recommend SITA to any potential employee. Generally strong and competitive product range although with some loss making products that should be weeded out. Becoming a lot more innovative. Company is respected across the industry. I am proud to say I work at SITA and that is shared by most staff. Some really great and knowledgable people. Well structured HR/people management. Good salaries.
Cons – No leadership externally or internally. CEO is virtually invisible internally and externally. No desire by Geneva HQ to communicate with or motivate employees. Constant restructuring leads to uncertainty. Regular sackings with those left being asked to do more with less. Stagnant company with low profit margins.
Advice to Senior Management – Basta Francesco. Get rid of our CEO, he is holding SITA back. It is time he is held to account for too many disastrous and costly decisions. The next level down - the regional presidents - are generally strong leaders and one of them could give SITA the leadership they need. Try listening to us on the ground for once rather than dictating from above. Abandon over-budget mega projects that show no ROI.

Current Employee – been working at SITA
Pros – Friendly people and diverse cultural mix
Good balance between work and private life
Good benefits and holiday entitlement
Wide range of technologies used
Cons – Lack of structure
Processes are poor or missing completely
Lack of accountability - major programs fail (i.e. very late or well over budget) with no consequence to the program management
The company seems to reorganise every 18-24 months
Senior management are out of touch and lack vision
There is a disconnect between director level and below (who know what is going on), and senior management (VP and above).
Advice to Senior Management – Get in touch with the real issues facing staff on the font line. Take this into account so realistic goals can be set.

Former Employee – worked at SITA
Pros – SITA allows you to take on opportunities and sometimes even puts opportunities on you without you having asked for it. For a person that is willing to live with unexpected constant change, it is a great opportunity.
Cons – SITA is in an internal constant flux of change, a lot of times an employee just found its way in the company, than the internal infrastructure is changing. This has caused confusion and instability.
Advice to Senior Management – Trust your employees that they have a power to contribute to the success of SITA, engage your employees to participate more in the change that comes with a growing successful business.

Opportunities for transfer within the company.
Historic company with traditional role in the Airline Industry.
Corporate security, if not personal job security.

Uncertanty of job security. There have been several inexplicable departures, and the Airline industry is in tough times.
clearly Job Perfomance is not a criteria for promotion or retention.
There are very few staff functions, or social events where senior staff communicate with the peons.
Advice to Senior Management – Show a little concern for the sucess of the enterprise and the well being of the staff.
There have been changes that have not been fully explained.
Encouraging a sense of job satisfaction , and a focus on good customer relations would improve the work environment immensely.
