I have been working at Sam's Club

    Pros

We receive yearly bonuses for keeping theft down. Management is typically pretty flexible with schedules and requests for time off.

    Cons

Frequently is understaffed. Management isn't strong enough and they expect more out of the employees than they are willing to pay for.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    More attainable goals.

I worked at Sam's Club part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

It's a very tight-knit community, I felt very comfortable being at work every day. Plenty of room to move around the company as you please, and tons of opportunity.

    Cons

A lot of the positions, as you'll find, require you to "know somebody@, but spend a decent amount of time in one or two positions and you should be pretty good to go.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote people based on service, not based on who they know!

I have been working at Sam's Club full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I think the company is great. I would recommend this company to new job seekers any day. Sam's club has issues just like any company , but overall I believe the pro's outweigh the cons. The opportunity for a life long career is definitely there. Expectations are clear. The benefits are great.

    Cons

I believe training could be vastly improved. Work/Life balance is not the best. At the store level, the culture and environment could be better as well.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
