    Top Heavy

ProsCreative is allowed to be pushed in unique directions

ConsChannel alignment is impossible. Strategy is never aligned from the top and briefed in with clear direction. Channel owners trump GM's, Creatives and VP's. Top Heavy.

    Advice to Senior ManagementListen.

    Friendly but slow moving

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGenerally very nice people to work with. Reasonable work life balance. There are a lot of different brands within the company to work on and memory/photo sharing is a pretty interesting product - not just another app or widget.

ConsIt is slow to change, very risk averse and/or tight fisted.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to new ideas from employees. Don't be penny wise and pound foolish. Our customers love us, get more/new customers. Evolve the site more quickly or risk being outdated. Customers change so should we.

More work less pay and it is getting worse.

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) Phoenix, AZ (US)

ProsFree junk food but they are even cutting back on that.

ConsThe company is obsessing on their billion dollar sales goals. Management cashes in but nothing for workers.

    Great Place to Work

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGood pay, growing company, fantastic employee benefits.

ConsGrowing is almost growing too rapidly and management is not sure how to handle the growth. This causes constant schedules changes and long hours.

Advice to Senior ManagementHire more capable people.

Great culture and co-workers but growing bureaucracy and politics

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsNice, smart co-workers. Great classes, benefits, and activities for employees. Decent work-life balance for the most part.

ConsA few in-ept leaders promoted because they play politics well. Too many people involved in sign-offs.

Advice to Senior ManagementThere needs to be 360 feedback so that managers get feedback from their team. A few in-ept managers promoted because they manage up well but manage down horribly.

Shutterfly is a good company that treats employees well.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGood perks, free products, more than you can use. There are a lot of good people that want to build and do the right thing. Generally speaking most people have good attitudes.

ConsI don't think the company is focused enough on building a great product to reach more customers rather than trying to nickle and dime current customers for a bit more revenue.

Advice to Senior ManagementFocus on a great customer experience.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
