can earn plenty of spiff's selling extra cover plan warrentie's and on sales with certain items example sock's, sneakers.and friendly associates

    Cons

    Advice to Management

need more staff to help with this store and might be a good idea for managers to lend a helping hand instead of pointing fingers and saying deal with it.

    Pros

Excellent compensation relative to market; Incredible retail discount; Professional and competent business leadership

    Cons

Inexperienced and immature leadership in IS; Micromanagement is the practice. Don't expect to do anything creative or innovative while you spend time jumping from crisis to crisis. IS is the tail wagging the dog at this company.

    Advice to Management

Hire your people for their professional experience and then actually rely on them to get the job done.

    Pros

Fun Atmosphere, good management and generally a fun place to work if sports are something you're into.

    Cons

The way they allocate products, at least in my district is poor. Some stores get all the good stuff, while stores like mine are sent all the region's clearance products. This makes it difficult to help customers find what they need.

    Advice to Management

Consider giving more attention to the stores who need it.

    Pros

The employee discount is pretty generous. If you are a sales associate are available, and interested, there are opportunities for advancement into management.

    Cons

Upper management and regional management can be very unreasonable and condescending. Privately owned so there are no paid holidays. Merchandising and distribution strategies are not strong. Managers are not trained well initially, have to usually picks things up along the way.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees with more respect and appreciation. Improve on training for management. It isn't fair to create goals and expectations for management staff without properly training them.

    Pros

Easy, great co-workers, worked in the tech center and learned new skills to help me do my job quicker and more efficiently

    Cons

The only down side, as with all retail stores, is some times customers can be rude and do not understand they are not always the priority at the moment.

    Pros

Flexible hours, a great summer job. I was able to work when I wanted but still have flexibility for working on weekends and nights

    Cons

Poor merchandise selection, diappointed customers. Lots of the merchandise got shipped out of our store only to be requested the next day or week. Sidewallk sales in the middle of summer were really just time wasters moving everything in and out
