Pros – Strong process-oriented company. They strive hard to run through projects correctly with good visibility.

Cons – A little too project oriented. Not many things get done unless there are project dollars associated with it.

Benefits are above average for the industry

Cons – No career path planning - could be stuck in the same position for many years
Annual pay raises are capped at 2% company wide, unless you get a promotion.
Too many cliques with everyone looking out for only their own. Promotions don't seem merit based, but rather on who you know.

Cons – Senior mgmt are basically big children, poor HR communication, technically challenged and refuse to update and upgrade, far too much politics

Advice to Senior Management – Find a single strategy and keep with it. Stop with the political games and infighting.

Pros – Friendly work environment. You will have a good work life balance if you manage your time effectively.

Cons – If the region you are working in has poor upper management then your success and "happiness" will suffer. Fortunately if you do well it is easy to transfer out.

Advice to Senior Management – Do not change policy's so frequently; it makes the firm seem indecisive.

Pros – Good Salaries, Cost of Living Increases

Cons – Very poor PC/Laptop support - many issues with basic software like MS Office, IE.
Poor IT Management - focused only on schedule, and not at all on quality.
High level of outsourcing - many onshore contractors with no incentive to produce long-term quality deliverables.
Lack of documentation, especially for Cobol systems.

Advice to Senior Management – Increase business trust with more credible applications that actually work well longer than 6 months.
Quit spreading work out to so many different vendors for production support - 4 different vendors just to get a laptop fixed is ridiculous.
Develop business knowledge in-house with employees, rather than considering employees interchangeable with cheaper offshore personnel.

Pros – Noble work by best teammates in our industry, SunTrust has top training and expectations of its teammates. Leading by example is required of every one from top to bottom in order to bring security and Financial freedom to outr communities by 'Lighting the Way to Financial=al Freedom' We do this by consultative conversations and really getting to know our clients, their hopes and dreams, and their everyday needs. WE set ourselves apart by looking at today , tomorrow and their future. Their household and their family.........Their entire life is our concern. We value our clients they are the REASON we are here

Cons – Tough changes in our company during the past 3 years are difficult to understand at times. As our leaders are working to strengthen our efficiency and prepare us to be the BEST in our industry we have unfortunately lost some great talent along the way. This is at times heart wrenching...but a necessary cycle of business. We have to lead from the front and always remember why we are here and focus on today and not yesterday. Times are tough.....the future is not always clear....but we have a NOBLE WORK TO DO.....

Advice to Senior Management – improve honest equitable salary reviews for current career teammates....teammates that have been loyal and true deserve to be brought up to current salary standards.....

Cons – Senior leaders have no idea what they are doing , change directions every other day with leadership expectations, need to hold them accountable on their leadership verses the branch teammates that are getting it done.

Advice to Senior Management – Need a new leader for retail in Orlando he is not to be trusted , you can read right through him! Cares about nobody but himself ......
