    Pros

You should know someone in the higher management then you will progress otherwise you will keep trying with no luck

    Cons

Only few people at the top of the company doing what they want to do and do not care about the rest.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

NOC plays a major part in customer satisfaction and has always been ignored from any kind of recognition. Listen to the problems and issues of the NOC analysts and give them more resources and facilities and recognize their efforts so they can do better.

I worked at Sungard Availability Services full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, good pay, good job prospects,

    Cons

SunGard has I think 5,000 employees, you could be a number, a cog, some people who work in sales are very clicky, earn a lot but have huge egos and act like children. They are 50 year old men acting like men in their 20's boasting about how much their house contents is insured for! SunGard staff are very clicky, so the people who are not in the click or if you not in the group, then your work life can get very depressing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of some of the all the clicks. They ruin what could be a nice place to work,

I have been working at Sungard Availability Services

    Pros

Many many many Executives to talk to when you are not busy.

A tremendous amount of technology from which to learn.

    Cons

I just escaped from my jail cell. If you get this message send food and water.

Many changes occurring to get the Business righted. Those that resist change would not survive here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop holding meetings to ask employees ideas just so you can complete a checklist item to cash in your bonus at the end of the year. Asking for advice and then ignoring it gets old.

I have been working at Sungard Availability Services full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Its been more than a year, this is a small newly separated company from Sungard. Opportunities are immense and after US management directly took over, they are working towards employee satisfaction. If you are interested in some technology or want to work with other teams, transfer to other teams is easy. Work pressure is moderate, and people are friendly and ready to help except few. Company gives good hike to experienced candidates and good opportunity to learn for freshers. Top management is approachable, and even if they are busy, they will give you time.
Transport facility is nice, free home pick up drop, people from Talegaon (45 Kms) are traveling to EON Kharadi everyday, work from home option is there, so if you are not well or have other work, you can work opt that option (if your role is not direct customer facing). Overall, I would advice my friends to join this company, its a good experience. You would like to come to office everyday.

    Cons

Infrastructure is small (may be because i have worked with Wipro, Infy with massive campuses), 2 floors only in Pune, but as company is fairly new, its expanding in other cities as well.
Some of the mid management is useless and partial towards some employees, but that is ok, that much favoritism is in every organisation with obvious reasons.
Old HR people are useless, un-hygienic and dominating, new HRs are friendly and active.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Company work environment is great but please take feedback from all employees for every department.
Please arrange a skip meetings/interactions with the top management and employees (team wise or department wise) for a fruitful session.
Please give appraisal and do market corrections, and don't give excuse that its a new company.

I have been working at Sungard Availability Services full-time

    Pros

Good pay & benefits. Excellent place for workaholics and micro-managers. It's not the absolute worst place to work.

    Cons

High employee "burn-out" rate. Horrible work/life balance. Extensive international outsourcing and skeleton domestic crew. No career path growth, no back-filling of past employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Implement employee advise / feedback. For years upper management has been engaging employees in "feel good" sessions, but discussions are just all talk. If you haven't already noticed your good talent is starting to formulate their exit strategies.
