    Pros

Great team, very supportive, great teamwork ethos, good competitive pay and benefits (although benefits have significantly reduced since I joined), very professional environment where everyone is valued and treated equally.

    Cons

Career progression is slow with lots of red tape and politics. High amount of inconsistency across promotions.

    Advice to Management

Must put more emphasis on rewarding employees with high quality of work, dedication and commitment.

    Advice to Management

consult at lower level to get a clearer picture of requirement

    Pros

I work within a great team and have an excellent Manager. He shares the benefit of his experience and ensures all information flows freely.

    Cons

It can be a little frustrating at times however if you know the right people to speak to, you can achieve great results.

    Advice to Management

We are working towards a common goal however there is a feeling within the organisation that we are all working towards a hidden agenda with the proposed company separation. If this is genuinely the case just be honest with everyone after all we are all grown-ups.

    Pros

Friendly people but insensible HR policies. Pros are free gym and good online knowledge base.

    Cons

Very big corporate with many acquisitions Veritas, Norton, Messagelabs, etc
Unable to balance and streamline applications and processes within the company. Organisational restructuring every 3 to 6 months. Total waste of dedicated resources.
Clunky processes which are duplicated around the globe.

Technical work is hampered by low quality bespoke tools.

Please avoid if you expect a career oriented company. This is not the one.
Global company without any proper management strategy,

    Advice to Management

Please hire sensible management people from startups to streamline your processes. Clunky and time consuming processes slows down company progress. Standardise applications throughout various acquisitions.
NO Work life balance in EMEA.

    Pros

Good benefits (in the UK), good salary if you know how to negotiate. Some teams are great and have good management.

    Cons

Too many managers and directors full of self-importance; you don't feel that the company cares about you. Career progression is not easy unless someone leaves; managers don't know how to be leaders and manage people.

    Advice to Management

Train your managers in leadership skills; show your non-sales employees you care. If you hire someone, trust them. If you can't trust them to work from home then you shouldn't have hired them in the first place.

    Pros

The sad thing about this review is the company is full is wonderful people, the attitude is very mature and adult, the environment first rate. The salary, compensation, benefits are all above industry standard. This is what makes writing this review so painful. I truly love the company but have been smacked across the face.

    Cons

The key problem is constant boardroom coups, senior management disappearing all the time, and an utter lack of vision. The latest idea is to split the company in two which again (July 2013) means another huge company overhaul and, you guessed it, lots of redundancies as they "transform" yet again. I joined thinking all this silliness was behind them, and that they were moving forward boldly, but again they have sliced their own head off. Being a newer employee (just about a year or so now) of course i am in the first wave of people to go. I am beyond disappointed that a company with an excellent portfolio and market share just cant even manage itself. Tonnes of middle management who spend their time doing nothing but chatting and having meetings. The work that us "lower level" employees do is just ignored. My advice to anyone thinking of joining this company - don't - it simply isn't worth the hassle.

    Advice to Management

You urgently need stability and retention in senior management. Stop with the boardroom interference and management coups left right and centre. You are engineering a culture where hardworking and loyal employees, yes even the new ones, are happily discarded in place of retaining those who sit around doing nothing all day except chatting and browsing facebook. Already i have seen many people leaving - hurriedly.

    Pros

Some great people and products. Good flexible working.

    Cons

Very political and heavily dominated by old school sales leaders who have not changed with the times. Far too inflexible from a product perspective to meet the changing needs of their sales channels.

    Advice to Management

Less arrogance required - consider what is best for the customer and how this can be achieved.
Fresh and forward thinking management change required to take advantage of the opportunities

    Pros

    Easy to get in.
    Gain experience in corporate insight

    Cons

    No Job security
    No clear direction at all
Politics really defines this company - even if you want to stay out of it.
Not well paid, forget promotions and pay increases
People are the last thing that carries any value here

    Advice to Management

Shut the company down and start over. Its too messy as it is.
