Current Employee – been working at TIBCO Software full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – A twenty word minimum is difficult to meet in this area. It's like having to wirte a minimum number of word essay for Jr. High School where you just babble to increase the word count. TIBCO has nice working facilities and a lot of extremely competent and passionate over worked employees.TIBCO subsidizes the costs of the cafeteria and "feeds" their employees as rewards. Donuts and bagels on Friday, holiday lunches, holiday parties, summer picnics.
Cons – Over the years it has gotten worse with management at the top making the calls that should be handled by lower level more directly involved management . Almost dictatorship-like from the top. Senior Management is "taken care of" which is clear from company reports and company "filings". The hours required to get the job done are ridiculous due to the lack of needed headcount. There is little accountability for employees making the competent employees have to work harder. Yet workers are taken for granted and perceived to be a dime a dozen even though the "lip service" from the top is TIBCO employees are the best and most talented employees. HR is the worst...there is no support from them and their lack of realistic
"benchmarking" drives the low wages. Merit increases are never there yet there are record quarters. Reviews are a formality and here is little to no follow up regarding them. Acquisitions are handled poorly and it is clear by the feelings of the employees acquired. Morale is very bad throughout many organizations.
Advice to Senior Management – Use the old school "MBWA" - Management By Walking Around.
LISTEN to your employees, talk to them like they are humans not machines. REALLY read their quarterly meeting questions and don't hand pick the ones you want to "dance around". On second thought never mind, because the quarterly meeting are a thing of the past. IF Senior Management can't take the time to present at the meetings in person, don't expect employees to go to the meetings.

Current Employee – been working at TIBCO Software full-time
Pros – TIBCO has great and innovative technologies and products in middleware area with great people.
Cons – Growth from core technology solutions is showing a limit. Newly merged softwares barely shows performance. Too much good people who had company spirit at early stage has left and many unqualified employees from IBM, Oracle, Progress is newly joining. It's getting lost its potential and identity. Current stock price is slowing down.
Advice to Senior Management – Top management, such as EVP level is perfect for strategy and direction. But regional management has lost the leadership and it's full of politics.

Current Employee – been working at TIBCO Software full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – -Freedom to work as you like; explore different possibilities and approaches to implement a feature
-little to zero micro-management; almost flat hierarchy.
-every1 knows who'se every1 - including HR dept people (altho this might change with the growing numbers of new hires)
-most of the people are amazingly talented and knowledgeable and fun to work with.
Cons – -lack of growth beyond 2-3 yrs.(probably due to lack of appropriate people in mgmt positions)
-lack of mentoring of new hires
Advice to Senior Management – -try to look out for people who've been with the company for long periods and who're looking to stay longer as well. A lot of good talent is lost just because they don't see any growth (salary + role).
-Make mentoring a part of your culture - new guys feel really lost or out of place.

Current Employee – been working at TIBCO Software full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – TIBCO has very good product, working with them would give a good technical experience. the pay good salaries at the start but almost no increase as you go along.
Cons – - No training, they don't invest in people at all!
- Very weak HR, they always side with the company against the employee.
- Manager explore all the loop holes in the contract with the help of HR/ legal team. Example for sales people they put a clause that allow TIBCO the right to change compensation without prior notice.
- Very flat organisation with little potential to grow within the organisation even after spending 3-4 years with excellent achievement in the same role.
- Expect to have pay cuts on commissions without logical reasons.
-Most of the roles require at least 50% travel time, no business class tickets are allowed even to directors on any flight that include +10 hour flights!
Advice to Senior Management – I think the management should start looking into investing in people more seriously. the focus should be more on the sales people rather than the technical. TIBCO is a specialized company and a high turn over will not help the the growth of the company. There should be more investment in RnD especially in the newly bought products.
