Pros – Get to learn a lot being in consultancy. Get to work with top brands / clients in industry.
Cons – At times it is very hard work. No overtime pays. At time the expectations are over the top. No bonus. Primarily an Indian based company.

Former Employee – worked at Tata Consultancy Services full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Opportunities working on mission critical systems. I was able to travel extensively thanks to TCS. Also I learned about the financial industry from the ground up. They encourage associates to take certifications and improve their skills.
Cons – As an outsourcing company they don't own the systems they support therefore there is a glass ceiling for a TCS resource working for a bank or a financial services firm. The accounting, finance and admin departments are very disorganized. It can take months for expenses to get reimbursed.
Advice to Senior Management – Treat people as assets, not as numbers.

Current Employee – been working at Tata Consultancy Services full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – A big organization. To scale heights , you have to strive really hard and that is the best thing about this org.Best place to start with your career.
Cons – With its enormous size , it is always very difficult to get noticed. Before the information percolates to the 'downstream' , it would have gone through multiple filterings. So dont believe anything and everything what you hear.
Advice to Senior Management – Employees are working 'with' you not 'for' you.
Organization & its value are not only measured by its net worth & profit margin , it is also measured on the attitude & morale of the employees who form a part of this organization.

Pros – - Top Brass
- Aggressive and Strategic road map
- Employee Friendly HR policies
- Technically driven consulting opportunities
Cons – - Resource Management Group
- Mid level management
Advice to Senior Management – If it's to the top brass, then keep up the good work....if to the mid level, self proclaimed leaders..."guys...grow up...you suck...try to imbibe the TATA cult"
