    Pros

    There are a few core people that work smart and are effective quality people.

    Cons

    Management is "siloed", disjointed and often clueless. They aren't motivated to change the environment either as they are far too well paid. Why change teets when you can suckle to your heart's content.

    Stop suckling and you'll stop sucking!

    Great learning environment. Good benefits. Work with strong clinicians and learned a lot.

    Lower pay. Cater to MD's more than NP's.

    Director in charge not a people person. Her main objective is to let everyone know they are replaceable.

    Pros

    Have an event staff to encourage people. Have hired company to review new procedures during future anticipated growth.

    Cons

    Love company but wish I was in a different department. The director attitude is everyone is replaceable. This department isn't allowed to attend company activity as director states no time. If the CEO only knew how disrespected this dept is even though it is the same dept that brought in millions of dollars last month. All I can say is our competitor's are getting some well trained people thanks to team health

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Really look at your management. If they can't see that it is the team that does the work not only themselves, then educate them. Again the attitude that everyone is replaceable should not be a companies protocol or allowed by an individual to make it Teamheath protocol. The employees of Teamhealth is what makes the company succeed after all we do not have a product we have communication and dedication to the providers we employee and that's what makes Teamhealth the success they are. A dedicated staff that IS very hard to replace.

    No training. Unrealistic expectations. Management is bullying and blameshifting. Horrible pay.

    Pros

    Almost immediate Healthcare coverage and benefits.

    Cons

    Low pay. Management does not take responsibility for their own faults but blames the employees. Aggressive pushback if you dare ask questions or need further explanation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Warning. The word is starting to get out about how you manage and pay your people. Pay them what they are worth. Train them properly.

    They have not been interested in paying a higher salary for a seasoned ER PA.

    They do offer some benefits, and seem to have many different choices of where to work if you want to stay in company.

    Cons

    Probably not the company to work for if you have a lot of experience.

    Pros

    There is a great infrastructure of support for doing one's job well as a new physician or mid-level or even as an experienced physician. support for continuing education (they don't just pay lip service to this, they provide really good resources). Everyone seems to be friendly.

    Cons

    Will do whatever it takes to keep a contract... will hire a new graduate for a position where the management clearly does not want a new graduate and then turn around and fire them for not being experienced enough when management complains.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Realize that sometimes resentment may be harbored related to a contract you have recently gained and that this resentment may be taken out on your new hires, especially PAs and NPs, and even more so if they are new graduates. Be willing to stand by and support these employees.

    Pros

    Very good company to work for. Fair in most employee relations. Flexible, they will work with you if there is an illness or family emergency.

    Cons

    As in most companies the communication from department to department could much improve.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Treat all employees equally. Sometimes the favor showed to long time employees is somewhat out of line and unfair.

    Pros

    Gives you up to date current information to keep you current in your practice. Online CME is very helpful as well as current case studies.
    Employees in support postiions in the main office are polite and anxious and helpful. This company wants you to be successful in your current position.

    Cons

    Off hours computer work after a long day makes it longer be prepared. This company compensates well but the expectations are high and you are expected to meet them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Risk management should be more responsive to providers concerns regarding questions about current malpractice issues in the state the provider is working in. The support is too little too late. You need to do your own research or keep your own current contacts with your former malpractice carrier. Malpractice varies greatly from state to state and it seems risk management could have a little more sense of urgency. When a provider calls with a concern they need an answer. A week or two weeks later doesn't cut it. The largest malpractice carrier in our state has lawyers in house so when you call with a concern you are immediately connected with counsel. This helps greatly with correct documentation in the medial record as well as advice.
