The plant was very poorly operated.

Temporary (Former Employee)
Fenton, MO (US)

I worked at Temple-Inland as a contractor for less than a year

ProsThe compensation was competitive. The company was closed on most holidays, and offered holiday pay if not.

ConsThe plant was poorly operated and the employees needs, and/or issues were never dealt with by management. Issues were never solved at the root of the problem, rather at the end of the process. Weekends were often required. The incorrect employees were blamed for problems/issues.

Great learning experience as audit intern

Audit Intern (Former Employee)
Austin, TX (US)

ProsAll of my supervisors had open door policies and gave me a lot of great guidance. Most everyone is very friendly and makes you feel welcome right away. There a flexible work hours which promotes a good work-life balance. Pay is very fair and it seems there is a good track for advancement.

ConsTraining was good but more informal than I would have preferred. There is also a lot of talking behind people's backs, but that probably happens everywhere.
