    Pros

Great location; fantastic office and really nice people. The business is bold; fast growing and there is always something new coming along. There is a lot of opportunities internally for growth and career progression. Definitely a nice place to be!

    Cons

A very fast moving environment that sometime does not take necessarily the well-being of employees at hearth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The leadership back in the head office does not necessarily understand Europe and the cultural challenges they face in the old continent. The leadership has failed to address concerns fast enough sometimes frustrating teams. Profits and brand image could have been mush much higher if the business has addressed the concerns above.

People who work here are passionate about what they do. Great opportunity for personal development and growth as long as you keep up! A great, fun place to work with excellent benefits.

    Cons

Its a "hit the ground running" organisation so if you're looking for classroom training forget it! However ongoing, on the job training is excellent

I worked at TripAdvisor full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits to bring you in
You can find excellent people who eventually will leave this company.

    Cons

Poor coordination on the information disclosed from the marketing dpt to clients and sales dpt..

Speed wins culture can have impact connotations such as the White Star Line, and the Titanic ..the fast you go eventually you will hit the iceberg so guess your conclusion.

The company can promise you a good level of income which in reality is not easy to achieve due poor management procedures or inexperience team leaders.

There isn't a clear best practice as there is too much favoritism among some 'friends' within the sales team division from which it creates a level of unfairness.

From the sales perspective the customer support efforts are not fast enough neither brings satisfaction to the clients who in time will come back to you very disappointing as you can't go beyond.

There is an existent disparity on the dynamics and pressure between the acquisition dpt and renovation team.

Too much centralize decision from head office doesn't bring value to the UK office.

No available opportunities to move between divisions and learn more from this company. and subsidiaries.

At least for the Tele Sales division level this is not a job for some one who have very good sales experience as soon or later you will realise that the present product service needs more attention. Your values at some point can be compromised.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs urgently to identify motivational strategies to keep sales agents highly driven. This strategy cannot sorely be related about money incentives if you reach a target as it has shown doesn't work for everyone.

Present sales manager needs to be more proactive instead of sending emails back and forth from head office, it needs to hold at least an open session to all sales members to keep the sales division up front. and motivated.

Best practice needs to be enforce among country groups and Team Leaders.

Team Leaders urgently need more training in terms of managing people.

    Pros

You will work with very clever people and learn a lot. You always have to keep up to date on everything which is great. Management gives you quite a lot of freedom. Nice perks such as free gym membership.

    Cons

Very high goals : as in most of very successful companies, goals are high which is normal. However, on my last year they became unrealistic which tends to demotivate people a lot.

Not the most social place : even if most of the people are nice, the atmosphere is not great. People rarely see each other outside of work and when there is an event organized by the social team, not even half of the employees are coming.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Goals should be high but remain reachable.
Please make the place more sociable.

Stressful place, poor leadership in USA, culture of blame, London team treatment sub-standard, US team call the shots.

    Pros

Depends on who you're working alongside, some smart people. Limited perks of any use. Pay can be good if you're in Product, Engineering or Commercial side. A lot depends on your manager and whether they have any autonomy.

    Cons

Too US centric, very little opportunities for London staff. US management poor communication (expectation that London team are telepathic and will know what has been widely communicated to US staff), culture of blame, can't manage talent, limited risk taking, over-hyped culture - basically a burn them and hire more staff attitude. Promotion to buddies and mostly US staff. Lack of appreciation of global nature of company - US lense on everything.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a leadership team that is made up of real leaders and not just yes men and women to the CEO. It's too much about Steve. Unless Steve says something, nothing can be decided. The CEO has a lot to answer for in terms of creating such a weak team.
