Former Employee – worked at Turner Broadcasting full-time for more than a year
Pros – *Good colleagues and a largely positive working environment. No overt aggressiveness or blame-culture.
*Work-life balance was good on the whole but depended a lot on the area and work.
*Good central location in London
*Offered some good-ish development training
Cons – *Decision-makers tended not to know/grasp properly what they were doing.
* Not enough checks and balances.
*A chronic make -do-and-mend approach despite serious structural changes/expansion
*Pay and promotion not great
*Employees tended to stay on and become “comfortable”, which brought problems
Advice to Senior Management – Refine focus and adequately update the company to reflect the world it's operating in. The company is going through a restructure, so things may change/changing in the future.

Current Employee – been working at Turner Broadcasting full-time
Pros – Laid back, comfortable, not very corporate at all, great community and place to work.
Cons – Pays little compared to most private media companies, some people who thrive on pressure won't like the laid back atmosphere. The perks for a media company are quite unsubstantial.
Advice to Senior Management – Investment in people helps in the long run.

Cons – This was a good first job for me, not really any cons - but then wasn't there long enough due to fixed term contract arrangement.

Current Employee – been working at Turner Broadcasting
Pros – The people are easy going but professional and hard working. You are given a lot of resposibility compared with other companies and this responsibility can grow if you do well very quickly.
Cons – Sometimes the work can be tedious but if you prove you can do well then they give you more interesting work.
Advice to Senior Management – To make sure that the staff are constantly busy, also to make sure that the work differs enough to remain interesting.

Current Employee – been working at Turner Broadcasting as an intern for less than a year
Pros – Organized, people were easy to get to know and very personable. I felt well-trained but had a good deal of independence.
Cons – Some intern tasks seem arbitrary and monotonous. Working in a cubicle all day can be a bummer. People were generally sociable and nice
