ProsFlexible hours, awesome bosses. Good pay and work on campus so you are close to good food and things to do.

ConsCoworkers are students so they are not the best at showing up for their shift or being professional.

Current Employee – been working at UC Berkeley part-time for more than 3 years

ProsUC Berkeley has some of the best minds int he world

Consthe university itself is divided between the ever-increasing corporate bureaucracy and instructors/students. it's being strangled by budget mismanagement, and everything always feels like it's one piece of tape away from not working.

Advice to Senior Managementtry to focus on the education and making those who do that (read: the educators) happier. stop turning to adjunct labor. if you teach marx, then actually use his work.

ProsWorkstudy jobs on campus provide flexible hours for students who want to work while maintaining and full class schedule.

ConsAlthough workstudy jobs are flexible and for the most part, pay well, it is hard to find a job that is relevant to your field of study.
